I did some testing with my durametric this past weekend to see if my oil temp gauge was reading correctly, and did some WP temp as well.

Gauge on the hash mark for 180, 82.5c - 180.5F
Gauge just past the hash mark (splitting the 8 fairly evenly), 86.3c - 187.3F
Needling splitting the space between the 8 and 0 - 91.5c - 196.7F
Left edge of needle even with the left edge of the 0 - 94.5c - 202.1F

This is using the "Engine temp" metric from Durametric, which I think is coolant temp.

I'm not sure how this compares with the readings from the ODBII port.

For me, 200 was at the left edge of the 0. By hot edge do you mean the right edge of the 0? I never actually got any higher than the left edge of the 0 so I don't have any more data points....
