Up for sale is an engine originally from a 2001 Porsche Boxster. It is a 2.7l and all stock besides the IMS upgrade to protect the engine from the known failure of this part, as well as an under drive pulley for a few extra horsepower. Spark plugs are new this summer. No AC included.
This engine was put in by the previous owner of my 1999 car. This will work in all Boxster models from 1997-2004. Right now it has the cable throttle body of the 2.5 1999 car so it is compatible with the 1997-1999 models. For 2000-2004 models the throttle body will need to be changed accordingly.
I do not know the exact mileage of the motor, but the previous owner told me it came out of a low mileage donor car and has less than 50,000 miles. It runs strong with no smokes or leaks. I drove with it in my car this summer with no issues. The reason I am selling is I am switching back to the 2.5l motor my car originally came with.
