The 9x7 shifter is an OEM option that reduces the throw by 15%

I installed this and it helped a shifting issue I was having due to wear on the ball end connectors that is documented in that thread as well.

I also changed my Transmission Fluid to OEM Porsche fluid and that helped make the shifting better as well.
