Car #1: original cap, 98,000 miles
Car #2: original cap, 141,000 miles.
Car #2 has had a mysterious slow loss of coolant since I've had it, even though no one has ever been able to find a leak, or any evidence of one. Rear trunk always hot as a campfire inside.
Wonder if the escaping steam theory applies here? Time to replace and observe.
