I was aware that it was a replica; I was just looking for a good pic that showed the rear engine venting. from what I can tell the vents as shown were used on the 550 and rsk. probably a later thing that got introduced into the 550 as it got developed in racing and the rsk evolved. my point was that the boxster was intended from the get-go to have styling cues from the 550, rsk and 904. *I think* the original post was an effort to bring another of these styling cues to the boxster. for this I applaud the guy. I think they could have been better executed, but the fabricator was probably limited to the oem opening size and location. still, more vents, punched instead of cut, might be better.

for some folks the box is a ragtop dd. for some it is a track toy. for some it is a cheap tuner car with a bit more pizzazz than a crx or 350z. for others it is a vintage-style roadster, and the more vintage it looks/is, the better. to all their own.
