Gee, I don't know if I have enough experience to comment and I'm not about to post my Curriculum Vitae but I'll reiterate the comments I've already made in this thread. Lighter unsprung weight allows more power to be used accelerating the car rather than the wheels/tires. It's simple physics. Whether you will be able to feel 1 lb is questionable. On a street car I seriously doubt it.
