Button up with a v neck undershirt. Button ups in white black and greys. With v necks that accent them well. Slacks or jeans. A simple solid polo works in the summer.
I have a porsche motor sport hat that I wear (usually when I don't drive) and a simple drivers cap that I wear sometimes when I do.
I have a black denim jacket for colder weather and a pair of lambskin leather driving gloves.
3 watches, a casual white face blue strap american eagle, a slate grey relic, and a black clemson watch, for whichever fits the outfit. As for shoes I stick with sperries or some simple Ralph Lauren polo shoes, (really comfortable) or a pair of boat shoes.
And aviators Incase it's sunny.
All works well, mostly subtle sleek and clean looking. Works for me.
