UPDATE: I removed the oil seals - no grease inside but lots of oil!
Here is a pic of the old IMS. It looks and feels very good but there is a bit of oil leaking out and a kink in the seal. Who knows how long it would have lasted? Glad I replaced it - just think of it as a service item!
