I picked up my new 987 as an alternative to a used 911 in the same price range. I am very happy with the car - very happy with the car.

My '05 was a leftover sitting next to some '06s. They even had a couple of leftover '04s. I was immediately drawn to the '04s thinking I could get a deal, but I prefered the '05 enough that it made a material difference. To me, the upgraded interior was the thing that really clenched it. Much more room. Much more comfortable to me.

Still though, whichever car you end up buying will be a source of great enjoyment for you. I don't think there is a wrong decision here. IT'S A PORSCHE!!!
