Made some changes this year to my life in that I am not going to spend the next five years running around the Middle East and other countries and so I jumped back into racing. Was introduced to a wonderful racer who started in racing back in the 50's and just retired last year. He is a Boeing Engineer (now retired) and has been building among other things airplanes and race bikes at his home. This was his last bike he built for an East Coast Endurance race. His partner in England ended up getting a pace maker and dropping out and his other partner (another Boeing Eng) ended up having a heart attack. This left Steve who wound up having his knee replaced and he could no longer run the track (yet he still races dirt bikes at 75)! He decided he wanted to get rid of his collection of bikes and focus on building his wooden monoplanes.

A friend told me about his collection and gave me his phone number. We talked for a couple of hours and the deal was done. A 5 hour drive to his home, almost 6 hours looking at his plane, photos, drinking coffee and walking his property and my simply enjoying his life story and we put the bike in the trailer and I brought her home.

A slightly long story, but if I just post a picture it really does no justice to the efforts he put into this bike. I had Stella on the track at Pacific and was able to push her north of 190 on the straights. Man he built a monster.
