RS-3s and Rivals are my current favorite for street legal performance tires. They have phenomenal dry grip and hold up well under continuous lapping. They are a bit louder and not quite as comfy on the street as other more well rounded tires but if you want's grip, they got's grip.
For a driver who plans to run a lot of track days, especially on a banked Roval like Fontana or Daytona, I recommend the X51 pan or aftermarket equivalent instead of the deep sump. I think it is more effective.
