The thing is, I'm coming to realize that I will probably want to sell the 987 in
3 years. I'm TERRIBLE when it comes to keeping cars...I always want something
new. Smart? No...I consider it a "car disease".
With that said, lets say I buy the 06 for 41k. In 3 years I think I can get 30k for
my prestine, low mileage (garaged from nov-april) 06 Boxster. But if I buy the
05, in three years, I'll have a car that's a whole year older (worth maybe 3k less)
even though I bought it new.
Plus I have the wife factor to weigh. God bless her that she puts up with me
through all of my porsche-talk. But I need to justify the numbers to her. It sounds
like this is gonna be a wash. Yeah, I could get an 06 cheap...but it might be very
hard to sell without any options. And I could get an 05 cheap, but it will be worth
less in 3 years than the 06. SOOO I guess it really doesnt matter.
sigh. I still cant believe I may be really close to getting a new Boxster!!!!! TOO
