I have read posts that people remove the badge with dental floss and then clean-up the sticky residue with a little cleaner that won't harm the finish, and then complete the job with a good polish and waxing on the trunk lid.

I simply ordered my 987S from the factory without the badging...and Porsche is kind enough not to charge for that "option". Imagine that...from Porsche!!
