As another poster mentioned, a different (newer) boxster is your best bet to more HP.

Can't agree more. I've done the UDP and test pipe which nets maybe 10 hp. The same money on my last car, a 2011 GTI, netted me 50 hp. Turbo cars and ECU tunes net cheap hp. If you want 300 hp and still have a Porsche your best option is a 996 otherwise as other have pointed out it get real expensive.
