May at Mayo's

Attended the annual "May at Mayo's" event at Mayo's Performance in Euless, TX today, a PCA sponsored event.

160 attendees, 45 entrants in a "People's Choice" Concours d'Elegance. So, no Pebble Beach scrutiny, just regular folks judging cars on an informal, subjective basis.

I sorta twisted 986forum member BruceH's arm to show off his pristine 986; he spent 5 hours on a 90 degree day polishing her up, and then drove the grueling 1.9 miles to the event. He's a real trooper, that Bruce is......

After the judging, we all chowed down on some good ole Tex-Mex (there's no such thing as bad Tex-Mex in Texas), and some Margaritas and beer before the results of the Concours were announced.

1966 Porsche 912, the "Early 911/912" winner. This example was absolutely pristine.

Don't get a hard-on just yet. This 550 was a well turned out replica.

Not in the Concours; parked out on the grass. George Folmer's IROC Carrera.

The business end of a CGT.

2014 Cayman S, 2011 Spyder, BruceH's 2001 986S.

Front engine water pumpers rule!

Now THIS is where events should take place.........in working garages!

One for the road.
