No, it was slower than my DD 1973 TransAm, heavier clutch, A/C was inadequate, not very comfortable. It was a 1978 model with carbs & 5-speed, 7 years old at the time. Looked cool at the time & exhaust sounded good. Transmission felt bulletproof.
