What & how many Porsches
To set the stage. . .
I'm 78 and not done yet.
Started with a 61 356B coupe in '62. Drove it to work for years, found a '56 Speedster and 54 coupe layng in a field. Bought both, junked the '54, sold the '61 & used proceeds to half-ass restore the Speedster. Traded it at a PCA Parade for a '73 911. Meantime had a '68 912 to drive to work. Retired, found a barn-find '59 356A coupe. Restored it well, sold it two years ago & bought present pristine '04 Boxter S with lots left over. Wish I hadn't This is a different Porsche world with focus on "mods", silly wheels, snow plow front bumpers, spoilers, . . .
It still handles better than any of them, but is not a real visceral Porsche.
Back to an air cooled Porsche when I can.
