The S transmission has been repaired by Euro Imports in Suwanee. Jim Kinney is a great guy to work with he knows these transmissions. He has come up with his own in house 2nd gear slider modification that makes it much more robust. Turns out mine had a 2nd gear that was missing a tooth or two which was causing it to jump out of gear. While we were in there replaced 2nd gear synchro along with some other parts. Jim fixed mine too. Jakes motor was too much for it. Jim also rebuilt my 968 6 speed a few years ago. I head the dreaded pinion bearing problem, but he went through the whole thing replacing just the parts that were worn. The difference in the way that car runs is amazing. That was an expensive job but it took a lot of time.
