My thanks to the suggestion of Mr Clean Magic Eraser for the exhaust tip. It also removed a couple of stubborn smudges from my wheels. Cheap, easy and reusable. Sunny and 60 degrees with a rare day without wind. Perfect day for a drive with sparling wheels and tip.
