I'd recommend aiming for the 8th if it is between those dates. The 15th lands on Valentines Day weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if people have plans.
The Boxster Brunch at Alice's is a fun event. It is just hard to get my lazy ass up early enough on a weekend to attend when it takes me about an hour to drive there first.
