BYpro - I spent some time today checking out bulbs between the cars and can find no difference. The bulbs that I had earlier installed in my MY2000 Boxster are the same as I received from SunCoast and installed in my MY1999 Boxster and my MY1999 996.
I wish I had a good answer for you...
