Same exact thing happened with my 02 base. Same diagnosis, except made by me.
It's a common occurance. Some people recommend replacing the case pinch bolts in that area which I didn't know about when I did my IMS/RMS project.

The seepage probably amounts to 1Q/20,000 miles, may be a lot less. Just live with it. No big deal.
