The cam timing advance is different in the 2002 and earlier and the 2003 +. The cam timing on 2002 and earlier is electro mechanical and shift the chain to change the timing between the intake and exhaust cams. There are five chain in these models. The 2003 + has a valve ported to a hydraulic clutch on the exhaust cam drive sprocket that shifts the cam position in relation to the chain and works off the engine oil pressure. These engine have only three chains
