Longer tread life? Consider all season tires. You will give up a little ultimate dry grip for longer life and 3 season use. A good compromise for the great white north.

Kumho, Hankook, Yokohama and Bridgestone all have good A/S choices but I have no direct experience with them on a Boxster here in SoCal. I do have Yoko A/S tires on the wife's Lex and they are very good tires.
