i'd be interested to hear the result.
i know that the blinking 4th gear light indicates a general tip fault and if manual mode fails, the car will only display the D light, and manual mode will not engage. perhaps that's what's going on.
maybe a connector was missed when reassembling... hopefully nothing major.
