Hi BYprodriver The blue coolant cap is a replacement one that I bought back in 2010 when I bought the car and it does seem to form a pretty good seal as there is an audible release of pressure when I unscrew it. However, I shall mention it to the mechanic as a possible item to consider in the diagnosis. Thank you for sharing the part no. details and possible cost though.
