Boxster typically leak oil...

My car dripped from the RMS (dripped is too strong of a word - "weeped") from the day I got it until the day I sold it. I planned to fix it when I did a clutch, but I never had to do the clutch. It never got worse.

I continually (constant over a long period of time with intervals in between) had to add oil between changes, but only small amounts. Maybe a quarter or half of a quart between changes.

I kept some kitty litter around on the garage floor though. I don't believe the engine burned oil, I think it was the weeping. I put "RMS leak" into my signature block about 6 years ago as a joke and never changed it...



Bought 2006 @ 11K miles. Sold 2013 @ 72K miles. 10K miles per year as reliable and inexpensive daily driver.
