One other point is that there are foam trays that sit under the roof on either side (under the roof lid) that funnel the water to the drains. I had a shaft snap once on the roof assembly & it put a good rip in the tray. My car doesn't see rain, but after washing I came to realize water was getting through on one side because of this. Hope you find the cause.
