I had an issue at an la gas station where my light had just come on , so I pulled in and paid $20 cash , put $20 in (auto shut-off) then drove away .
About a minute later I glanced down and my light was still on , and the gauge still showed empty .
I called and spoke to the manager once I arrived at work (6 miles) , and told him I would be coming by after work to see just how much fuel it would take to fill my tank ...
So I arrived there , filled up , then went to ask for the manager with my morning receipt , and afternoon receipt , and the owners manual showing tank capacity ..
He instantly just gave me my 20 back and apologized .
I later googled to find out there is a way to trick the pump display so it doesn't pump what is displayed on the screen ..................
