Motive brake bleed/pad change = slightly spongy pedal

I did a complete brake bleed going from clear, standard brake fluid to ATE Super Blue using the Motive power bleeder. Very simple and easy.
I replaced the stock pads with some used Pagid yellows.
Replaced RR pads, then bled, LR pads - then bled, RF pads - then bled, LF pads - then bled.
I even located the clutch bleed nipple and hit that one too.
After completing everything, I have a slightly spongy pedal. Not horrible, but noticeable.
Is it possible that because the used pads were thinner than the stock pads that some air was trapped given the pistons still needed to expand to hit the recently installed pad.
Thanks for the advice.
Mike
