After any failure the chances of trauma impacting other components is real. Approach with great care and remember that every component is guilty until proven innocent.

Having components surgically clean is a must after an IMSB failure and oil system contamination. Have the crankcase and carrier ultrasonically cleaned, otherwise you may never remove all the debris from them internally.
