Hello! I have been having dead battery issues, so bought a new trickle charger from Porsche ($99.99 online special at local Porsche dealer this month). I tried to get it going via my cigarette lighter, but it did not appear to be working as it should. I plugged it into the outlet in the foot well on the passenger side and it seems to work fine.

Questions:

1) should the trickle charger work the same in either socket ?

2) does the lack of response in the cigarette lighter possibly indicate an electrical problem in that line of the wiring?
