As for the box, it fits behind the seat if you move it forward all the way and crush your passenger
I had a local audio shop quote me $125 for a custom hidden fiberglass enclosure, which seemed reasonable. Like I said, just hasn't been a priority and since I'm usually driving solo, I never notice the box.
