Squid actually comes from how inexperienced show-offs ride sport bikes. If you've ever seen video of marine squid, they will jet off and then quickly slow down. Street squids do the same thing, cruise along, then open the throttle and blast off for a second, then slow down.

I don't know if the guy in the video did it on purpose, but going over the trailer was the smartest thing to do. If you know you are going to hit something on a bike, jump up in the air as high as you can before you hit the object to try and get over it. "Laying down" the bike is the stupidest thing to do because you go faster when the bike is down and you will hit with more force.

A buddy of mine was riding his bike when a woman pulled out from a cross street and he t-boned her. He jumped up in the air and tumbled when he hit, but he had a full face helmet, jacket and boots and nothing happened to him. The impact was so great that the bike was stuck in the passenger door of the car and injured the passenger.

When the cop came to the scene, he says to my buddy "So wheres the biker, already took hm away in an ambulance?" My buddy tells him he is the biker and the cop didn't believe him.
