'02 TT 911 vs. '04 AMG CLK 55 HPS supercharged

Also raced an Evo, kid has a few bucks in it. Bigger intercooler, piping, 3 puck clutch, tune and suspension. He is pretty consistent 12.70 @ 107 mph. Yesterday it was very hot, pushing 100 degrees F and 110 heat index. I didn't expect to do very well.

MY best MPH was 120.1 every other MPH was right around 119.XX, my best ET was 12.4XX @ 109 MPH, tried to shift into 4th but missed! I may have had a much quicker time if I wouldn't have lost that last 11 mph. I'm still trying to figure out how to launch the car, when to shift etc. My 60' times were 2.1, 2.2 etc. I was really babying it. The very first pass the trans cable fell off of the transmission.

Evo race video, he has it labeled incorrectly. Clicky linky

We know 911's aren't exactly quarter mile killers, but I had the highest trap speed out of all the street tire cars and even the Suzuki GSXR 6. There were slick tire race cars running quicker ET's but slower MPH. Once I was able to hit 3rd gear it was gone. I had a lot of wheel hop, was tagging the rev limiter crossing the traps and pretty much drive like ****************. After the cable incident and clutch letting go I started granny shifting it. Plus it was waaaay too hot.

For reference there was a 2012 Camaro Z-28 running 14.0's, newer Challenger running 14.47's, crotch rocket 600 running 12.7 @ 117 mph. The kid with the Evo runs consistent 12.70 and most of his runs were 13.3
