HI,

Generally, I agree. I own a '71 240Z which I bought new. The Car is significant because it was the Nissan Auto Show Model - the one which was shipped to all the US AutoShows and was in all the Car Mags for that year.

Since the shape was so recognizable, Nissan avoided putting any badging on the car save the logo Z which is part of the interior exhaust vent on the 'C' Pillar. I didn't buy the car from a dealership, rather direct from Nissan North America. They gave me the option of badging the Car, but I declined.

My Boxster on the otherhand is a different Car and I think the Hood, Trunk and Wheel Center logos enhance the Car. I even retained the rear License Plate Frame with the Dealer's name on it - Isringhausen Porsche because I think any dealer name ending in 'Hausen' is right at home on a German (albeit Finnish) Car.
