But I need some guidance as to what kind of leather Porsche used in my car. I'm figuring on heading to a Tandy leather store soon, and I want to know what to look for.

If I want to match the leather on my dash and door panels, what are we talking about? Top grain? Full grain? What Porsche installed seems fairly grain-free.

If I wanted to upgrade to what Porsche terms "smooth leather" on some surfaces, or my steering wheel, what is that? Is it really lambskin?? Or is it "garment leather"?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
I just redid my interior with E & D Tops, 107-17 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11433 tel 718.523.3529 , Queens, owners name is Edgar. I posted the pictures before which are in the forum under new interior. Work came out great used black leather with red stitching on both seats, new shift boot and embroidered the Porsche logo in the headrests. Total for the work came out to $ 1,400. Each seat he charged $400 each, embrodiery $ 385, the shifter I believe was 50, and tax was the rest. Very happy with the work it took three days for the work. The end result is posted in February I believe.
