I just sat down with the books at the upholstery shop and chose from the samples. the black on the doors was a smooth leather and I thought it came out better than the original. The seat inserts didn't look that great and I ended up using Wet Okole seat covers most of the time, but it was presentable enough when I sold it. I should have used leather on the seats, but the cost of the leather was prohibitive for that much material, but would probably have been cheaper than buying the seat covers later. It took very little material to do the doors. I wish I had kept it though. It had 120k miles on the original engine and was a fully loaded 97 in the classic colors. If I had known Jake was working on M96 motors at the time I would have kept it. The 97s drove differently being lighter, the steering seemed quicker too. I'd love to have a 3.6 in it. I got a Anniversary edition Harley Fat Boy + cash for it so I did OK. I bought the 01S a year or so later.
