Thanks guys. Was mostly concerned with the type of metal first then how to attack it. I have had pretty good luck on the stainless steel on my sailboat using a product called "Flutz" so may try that after some good scrubbing and wet sanding as I have a bit on hand. If that doesn't work I will give one of the other products mentioned a shot>
Just didn't want to start out with good intentions and make things worse.
