Does anyone know if you can deactivate or remove the cruise control safely from the 1999 Boxster? I find that I do not use it at all in my driving or track days, and occasionally find that the stalk is bumped and turned on by the dash icon. I worry about accidental activation.

Does anyone have experience doing this? Should I just pull the fuse?

It would be nice to get rid of since I never use it nor do I plan to.
