Yes, all you have to do is install the 996 calipers and front rotors. You have to be careful with wheels though. One set of my wheels are 17" cayman rims and I had to install a 5mm space so that the wheels would clear the face of the caliper. 996 rear calipers do not seem to be that crucial since the only difference between the 996 and 986 rear brakes is the thickness of the rear rotor. Rotor diameter, pad, caliper pistons, etc are all the same.
