It's been a while since I replaced the instrument bulbs in my 986 but I believe you need both the black and biege based bulbs. The biege is 1.5w and the black 1.2w. Sorry, but I forget which ones go where. As for color, my instruments light up to a light gold. Stock bulbs will put you back to the original illumination color.
