I've read on this forum and elsewhere many times about cracked or leaking oil fill tubes. I don't remember the exact problems this causes but it may be worth doing a search and seeing what you find.
When I replaced my MAF I remember having a hunting idle for a bit, but it eventually started running normally. Since you replaced yours a month ago I'm sure that is long enough for that to have cleared up if indeed that was the problem.
What year is your car and how many miles?
