While I was back home in VA for Easter weekend someone broke into the house I've rented for the past 11 months while working here in NC.
I was lucky that they didn't trash the house and only a few things were taken. I think it was one person grabbing whatever they could while carrying a 37" TV. While the officer filled out the police report I realized that I did not record the serial numbers of the electronics stolen.

My advice to everyone is to take a few minutes to jot down those serial numbers and model numbers because you never know when you'll need them. Taking a few photos is also a good idea.

For some reason I decided to hide my M1 Carbine before I left (never done that before) so I still have that if they decide to return.
