German MasterTech has done a great job with the Boxster before I started doing most of the maintenance and repairs. Pretty reasonable prices.

If you are a member of PCA and get the Peachstate club newsletter, there's a company in Roswell that services P-cars too. I've never used them since I live way north in Cumming.
For the inspection, I'd take it to a dealer (Hennesey in Alpharetta). It costs more, but they will have the most experience with Boxsters since they are a relatively new model. Also, look through the threads asking about what to look for. There are a few common things that you may be able to rule out easily.
