There are three microsensors that can make the top inoperable:
1. Inside the hole where the hook latches the front of the top to the windshield area.
2. Just forward of the center brake lamp, which makes sure the clamshell is all the way down.
3. In the handbrake mechanism.
Check these out first. I had a problem with the first one listed above and it fixed my problem.
