Help with changing rads thermostat and water pump

So, I'm tooling up to change the radiators, thermostat and water pump on my '97 manual 2.5 RHD. Apart from the pump, stat and rads themselves, I am trying to put together a list of parts, tools and extras that are required.

So, first up, the two front rads.
- Replace hoses. Three hoses per side - upper and lower plus vent hose?
- Anything else?

Water pump and thermostat:
- Water pump gasket (will need trimming).
- Thermostat gasket.

Specialist Tools and kit (over and above a standard socket set and a torque wrench or two etc):
- Swivel-foot socket for reaching tricky bolts on the stat housing.
- Cleaning solvent for gasket contact points
- Sealant?

So, are any further parts or tools recommended?

Couple of other questions:

I've seen two guides to changing the pump. One suggests unbolting the front engine mount. How much harder is it to get the pump changed without doing this? I don't have a scissor jack for lowering the engine...

Also, when removing the bumper and wheel arch liners, which order should I do this - bumper first or liner first, assuming it even matters?

One of the guides suggests that the thermostat and housing are now sold together. However, when pricing up parts on Eurocarparts.com, they list a thermostat for about £30. I'm pretty sure this will be just the stat and not the housing. Are there any issues regards swapping the stat over or is it fairly obvious / straight forward once you have the housing off?

Apart from cleaning the contact surfaces for the gaskets, is there anything else I need to do - is there some sealant I might want to use?

Finally, any thoughts info on the Laso "OEM" water pump vs the official Porsche part. Are they in fact the same?

That's it, thanks in advance.
