My wife and I volunteered as corner workers at the Lone Star Region PCA's high speed DE yesterday and today. Because I was a third person in turn 10, I had a few extra seconds to shoot this video with my iPhone.

All sorts of cars were running in this group, comprised of instructors (red group). Holy cow they were quick around the track! There were 2 GT3's and a GT2 and a Carrera that was anything but stock. However, one of the fastest drivers in this group was driving a 2-3 year old M3.
There were a half-dozen spec Boxsters and spec Miatas out on the track in various classes, and you could tell them apart from all the other cars. They were 2x-3x as loud!
All this to say, we are totally exhausted, my wife is badly sunburned, but we both earned a weekend at the next DE for FREE and I know my wife will absolutely love it when she gets out there.
She will drive our 550i and I'll drive the Boxster. I took the 550i out for parade laps and was the last car. So I lagged back so I could drive it fast through most of the course and I actually thought of swapping cars with her for a minute. Just a minute
