I've always noticed a general color/colour difference across the Atlantic. Clothing is more subdued, especially during the winter months, with the Brits & Europeans going for more black/dark grays/dark navy's in their suits, etc. It also extends to cars - fewer bright colors. Mostly Black, gray, silver, dark blue, with some reds occassionally.
Question: VW new beetles are selling well here in a variety of bright colors - about the only maker to do so. Are they doing the same in the UK?
Speed Yellow - the color of my car and I love it. My first sports car was in high school - a Jasmine (Triumph color code 34) GT-6. It was Triumph's version of Primrose. Resale? Yup, I'll probably take a hit but in the meantime I have the car I want. Still get a buzz each time I open the garage. Being seen in it important? Not really, I drive it mostly early on weekend mornings when few cars are on the road. That and the track, where frankly you do see some bright paint jobs and no one notices much if you have a yellow car.
Anybody notice they used a speed yellow S in Excellence for the test car?
