I ended up cutting the +12V wire (#8). This now allows me to select AUX as an input and use the same RCA cables attached to the cd changer to make a new source. When I want the CD player back, I flip the switch to power the changer on and it overrides the circuit and AUX is no longer selectable and is replaced by CDC. I'm still deciding on how I want my switch integrated.
